Upholstery Options for Commercial Equipment

Strenvix Fitness supports upholstery and pad customization for selected commercial strength equipment, including cable crossover machines, hip abduction machines and other models fitted with seats, backrests or support pads.

This service is intended for importers, distributors, fitness equipment dealers, private-label brands and gym projects requiring a coordinated appearance across several machines. Available options depend on the equipment model, pad construction, order quantity and intended commercial application.

PU Upholstery and Color Selection

PU upholstery is commonly used on commercial strength equipment because it provides a practical surface for regular gym use and can be coordinated with different frame colors.

A general color name is not always sufficient for production. Black, gray, red or brown can vary between material batches and surface finishes. Buyers should provide an approved material swatch, color reference or physical sample when close matching is required.

Digital photos can support initial selection, but a physical material sample provides a more reliable reference for bulk production.

Foam and Pad Construction

Commercial gym equipment pads must support the intended exercise position without interfering with adjustment, movement or machine clearance. Pad shape, thickness, firmness and mounting structure therefore need to follow the selected equipment model.

The main upholstery materials shown on the website include PU upholstery and high-density foam. Different foam or pad requirements can be reviewed, but material changes are not automatically suitable for every model.

Before quotation, buyers should confirm whether they need the standard pad construction or a reviewed change to the appearance, dimensions or material. Structural changes may affect tooling, sample development, assembly and MOQ.

Cutting, Sewing and Pad Assembly

After the material and pad specification are confirmed, upholstery is cut and sewn according to the required shape. Foam, backing parts and covers are then assembled into the finished pad.

Sample and Pre-Production Approval

Depending on the project, approval may be based on a material swatch, stitching sample, completed pad or assembled equipment sample. A complete pad sample is recommended when the project changes material, stitching, pad shape or branding.

Standard or lightly customized samples usually require approximately 10–20 days. More complex OEM samples may require around 20–30 days, depending on material availability, pad construction and approval requirements.

The approved material, color, stitching and pad details should be recorded before bulk production. Late changes after material cutting or sewing has started may affect cost and delivery time.

Inspection may cover:

• Wrinkles or loose material
• Edge and corner finish
• Pad dimensions

• Consistency across multiple units

The completed pad is also checked during equipment assembly to confirm that it fits the frame and does not interfere with adjustment or movement.

MOQ, Lead Time and Quotation Details

Customized upholstery programs commonly start from around 30–100 units, depending on the model, material, color and order requirements. Lower quantities may be reviewed when standard materials and existing pad constructions are used.

Bulk production normally requires around 30–45 days. Larger or more customized programs may require approximately 45–60 days.
